Week 12

This week I did not work on my project as it was already finished.

I am happy to finally be able to present the finished project:

Week 11

As I have a lot of other assignment to finish next week, including the multimedia test and coursework in other modules, I had to finish the video this week. I have spent the week looking at the details of my film, and making the finished product as good as possible.

Week 10

My project is starting to take form, and I am working on the last details. This week Ive spent working on color correction, adjustments and generally making my movie look better.

The effects i used was:

• Color correction
• Brightness & Contrast
• Sharpening

Week 9

This week i continued with the editing, and managed to finish a rough version of the entire film. obviously it is still work to do on clipping, color correction and the details in general, but I am starting to see signs of a finished product.

Week 8

As I already had the storyboard animatic (Which I forgot to mention I did last week in the workshop) this made it a lot easier when starting to edit my video. Although I didn´t do everything exactly as I explained in the script and storyboard, this animatic helped the editing process a lot. However, the post-production process takes a lot of time, so I just got started on the clipping.

Week 7

This week I have done my filming, which went quite well. Although I had some issues, such as lighting and the fact that i did not get a tripod, it generally went well. I had to improvise to solve the mentioned problems, which I personally felt went quite well.  

Here is a picture from the location, which as you can see is quite messy do to all the popcorn and pizza. 

Week 6 - reading week

This week is reading week, which gives us a lot of time to work on our projects by our self. I spent this week planning the filming of my commercial, and setting a date for the actual shoot. I also wrote down which order I wanted to film the shots, and what sort of props I needed for the different scenes.

The plan I made for the shoot looked like this:

Week 5

With my script done and storyboard nearly finished I spent this week on improving my work, and finishing of the last part. At the end it turned out quite good, and I was very happy with both the script and storyboard I made for my video. Although this task was completely new for me, I enjoyed it a lot. I am looking forward to start filming and at the end see a finished product.

Week 4

This week I spent on working further with my script, and starting on my storyboard. I also had to start thinking about the actual shoot, in terms of equipment, actors and props etc. After emailing my tutor the first draft, I got some helpful feedback, which I used to improve my script. When I finished my script, the only thing left before the first deadline was to finish the storyboard. As I am not the best drawer there is, I found this part of the assignment a bit challenging. However my drawing skills set aside, I managed to get a good start on the storyboard.

Week 3

After never-ending Internet browsing and frustrating times last week, I finally came up with an idea; a Netflix commercial. It has humour in it as well, which I enjoy quite a lot. So when I finally came up with this idea (which I found quite brilliant myself) I started writing the script. And it wouldn’t take long before I managed to finish my first draft. 

Week 2

I decided quite early on that I wanted to make a commercial/ promo video, but coming up with the exact idea was harder than I thought. After Browsing the Internet for hours, my brain sort of stopped. I didn’t like any of the ideas my brain would come up with. Quite frustrating to be honest. Although I did not find my Oscar-winning idea this week I had a good laugh when browsing the Internet for all the different promo videos out there. So I decided that i wanted to make something humoristic, as this is something i enjoy my self. I especially enjoyed this from dollarshaveclub;

not only hilarious but also very efficient. I mean who wouldn’t want to buy a razor after seeing that masterpiece of a promo-video.
